I live abroad in the last few years, but when the time came to go back to South Africa, I decided to stay for longer in South Africa and rented a flat in Camps Bay.
Bali penthouse
Back in the first two weeks in South Africa, my family stayed with me in my newly acquired Bali Penthouse. It had more than what I needed, in relation to a house, and everything necessary for a house to make room for a large family, with a spaciousopen plan lounge and dining room, the most beautiful views of the sea, I overlooked seen for years.
The penthouse itself had four bedrooms, en-suite bathroom and was filled with everything I needed equipped: It was a private wooden sundeck and pool, from which my family and I were able, during the hot summer days spent with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop.
Camps Bay
It is a little known fact that if you are visiting Cape Town, Camps Bay, then theplace to be! With the Twelve Apostles mountains in the background, the Atlantic Ocean with its white sandy beaches, palm-lined beaches as playgrounds and the Lion's Head Mountain peak in their majestic glory round the masterpiece of a wonderful goal, it is easy to understand why.
Camps Bay has been under an invalid sailor, Ernst Friedrich von Kamptz, after many journeys, decided to settle this utopia for some quality rest in 1778. Since then it has become a holidayDestination for those who desperately need some serenity in her life. That was something I needed, as well, and similar to that of Kamptz, I sought a place of tranquility to enjoy a well deserved holiday.
The beauty of Camps Bay, that it is extremely to the Cape Town near the city center was, so I just jump in my car and enjoy a day simply walking around in one of the most fascinating cities in the world. There are many cafes, some of the finestOf course, numerous restaurants and shopping.
Table Mountain
I checked the weather forecast on the search for the perfect sun filled, cloudless day before to Table Mountain. I left early to avoid standing in long queues for hours. The trail on Table Mountain was intoxicating to say the least! The cable car was replaced in recent years, some newer technology, in other words, turning the gondola to the top while you have the pleasure of a largerview. The girl next to me seemed like they enjoyed it as much as me, but it draws you more of the realization of how high you hang in the air. After walking around a bit I decided to go for an early lunch at the restaurant with a view unlike any other. Before I went to back down for a few hours, with the "time", simply breathing in the fresh air and think about life in general meeting earlier this magnum opus of nature.
La Med soon became amy favorite places in Camps Bay. It is one of the ocean-side venues, and it has a laidback atmosphere, with excellent cocktails and the perfect place for a nightcap. It's a real beach, and after the day on the beach, I would meet some friends there, while she was still dressed in my bikini and not worry anymore that I was not properly dressed. The interior is casual and allowed me a few really nice to know people with whom I have grown some very good friends.
On daysI just wanted to relax completely, I did not even leave the comfort of my home. The penthouse had everything I need, and with such views, it was found completely satisfactory way to this rest, which could use anyone to. But I was still right there in the middle of one of the "happening" places that could offer only the best of the South African entertainment, I am even a shark cave diving, where I came face to face with the Great Whites. There's nothing better than where they show aPlace that offers both tranquility and adventure at a time, and that is exactly what Cape Town, Camps Bay and meant especially for me.
