I've done a tremendous amount of research on happiness over the years and it is an issue, I am always surprised. The people are so incredibly complex creatures. Adding to the ever-evolving technological and materialistic age in which we live, and happiness seems more and more difficult. So, what can we do to do more happiness in our lives? Here are three nuggets Fortunately, I've discovered over the years.

Build happy memories

On vacation a fewYear ago, we packed the kids into the car and drove to Cape Cod, it was cold, wet and miserable. After a few days, the sun broke through the clouds, rain, and away we went to the beach in Chatham. Far in the distance we saw a strange black substance. Rocks? What was it? It went on. As we neared that big black mass, we discovered, much to our surprise, a large group of over two hundred seals playfully lollygagging on a sandbank, a hundred yards ahead of us!The children fell in love in the sweet, thick baby seals look with large, moist brown eyes. We parked ourselves on the beach sitting in awe of the wonderful scene, they enjoy for hours.

Do you think that the kids are happy when I bring myself to that memory? Absolutely! It lights up (their faces and me) every time. They think about their used video games in the same way? Heck, no! Memories like a lifetime. And it need not be cute baby seals. Ason a hike in the mountains? Or a trip to the zoo? Good memories for a lifetime, "stuff" does not.

A great attitude is just a thought.

How often do you have to be met someone at work, at the supermarket or even friends, "How's it going," only in order with a mumbled, "Not too bad"? I have come across many unfortunate people, especially in the service industry, to the point where I try to avoid all dark, not reluctantly or simply mean people whoseem to be living their lives in a permanent funk. But there is one particular lady in my supermarket, which is always a bright smile on her face, a joyful Hello and the extra mile to make us happy clip coupons for me! I always try, through their cash, because they think that will be much happier day. The charm was washed, white sheets flapping on clotheslines over the street - the kind of scene from an old movie. These ladies certainly not sitting at a computer and chatting on the Internet! And that's what scary about our supposedly technologically superior culture. It should bring us closer together. Remember global community and all that jazz? But it has brought us closer togethertogether?

We seem to have more time on the computer or video games squatted without spending our neighbors in our cocoon of electronics and Suburbia. Connect with friends, neighbors and your children can be very satisfying when all the technical clutter is pushed aside. And the connections are the most genuine and is probably the happiest you have. The Italian ladies were really enjoying their face-to-face time. Maybe it's time for a little less e-mail and chatLocations and a little more authentic communication to regain our humanity. We will be so much happier.

An adventure in West Dennis on Cape Cod

When I made plans visit to Cape Cod, in my mind I always saw my goals than to have fun. . . Food and lobster. In the end we had a lot of fun and I had a lot of lobsters. Sorry, but we saw a 17-pound lobster tank in a preview, and ate it. We were set for the burial of many of his relatives.

For almost ten years, our friend Al Burrage of West Seattle asked us to join him at his home in West Dennis on Cape Cod. We werefinally able to travel to Massachusetts, and not surprisingly schedule, we loved it. Al rented his cottage, the support, during the "season", but visits to Cape Cod before the season and then again after the season's first prepare the cabin for the guests and then close the cottage for the winter.

The house is a house that has three bedrooms with a glassed-in porch and an outdoor shower and for getting rid of sand and salt before entering the house. I'm not sure what they are doing, but I never saw a snake nearby. I have a box to the son of a friend on his way to a party in Seattle. He held a bundle of up to his nose. I warned him, do not let the police search. I do not knowthat he is not herbal teas, or the snake bites something repellent with local Indian heritage, but the gifts were in Massachusetts, purchased, which should count for something.

In general, every day started the same. I would rise earlier than Al and Peg. I would like to turn the coffee machine and make it sometimes for a drive or a walk. I would like to return to knock on the door and Al's, he would go in an instant and ready to go. I knew we'd probably have a big lunch and a big dinner, so breakfastI always wanted to light. . . I shared the apple grilled bread with Al, but never offered the cranberry to him. I liked the cranberry. Sometimes they use in their French toast. I'll have to try, that's a different time.

I ate my last day at Good Friends in West Dennis from me. Again, I just wanted a bite. I ordered the corn beef hash expected something from a can. What I got was homemade cornedBeef and onions. Lew and his wife Kathy, an expert seamstress, were still there.

Lew confessed that I was able to connect to the library parking lot with my laptop, but I did not bring my laptop, Cape Cod, I had hoped for a WiFi cafe. Once we found Woods Hole, we still had trouble finding the aquarium. We landed after an arrow from the city of half a mile in a residential area. We went back and found the arrow again. It was on the building in which the aquariumwas! We peeked in the windows, and Peg went to the harbor behind the plant for a few pictures. It may never have occurred to us that an aquarium would be closed on Saturday. We should have visited the web site for details. We enjoyed the trip back and finished the evening with a movie.

I do not know how many times I ran for the sign that welcomes visitors to West Dennis. The sign promises $ 12.99 lobster Sundancer's. Every time I looked, I thought we should eat it.They have a deck that looks out onto the water. You have music several nights a week. They have a boat trip on the river in the afternoon. Oh, well. We had boiled shrimp, scallops (for absolute perfection), seafood pie, clam stuffing, rice and whiteWine. We stuffed ourselves silly. We ended up with scallops and shrimp remains. There was food everywhere. Al looked around and said: "It looks like the food fairy visited my home and threw up." We drank a little wine. Two days later, Al was at five in the morning and the clock was a rice and scallops snack. . . then went back to bed. He did not with me this morning to breakfast from.

I loved the change in the morning on Cape Cod, the marshes and estuaries with the tideand the fog. I visited the same places, day after day and was never disappointed. I was rarely disappointed in our choices for meals. Al and Peg, I noticed you at a laundromat one morning and then again when she had finished folding the clothes. There are two shops in the vicinity, we have decided to visit us and tucked in by them was a small café. The waitress was cheerful and friendly. The food was excellent. I had a tuna Caesar salad. On the positive side, but the food was good. I followed Al's advice and ordered the seafood pasta. The seafood includes lobster, shrimp and mussels in a cream sauce. I did not think the shells would work with the cream sauce, but they were very good. I had to walk to the service counter and a table dispenser to retrieve cheese. That annoyed me. Al's scallops weregreat. He knows what he wants. Peg ordered mussels which surprises me. Like me, they were wonderful with a nice broth. I had to catch the waitress, and when you ask for bread, so Peg can enjoy soaking up the broth with the bread. This is one of the joys of the order clams or steamed mussels. Porridge and bread are important requirements. The three of us shared an apple crisp with vanilla ice cream.

After finishing our meals in the pub Captain Parker, we went behind the car park on theZooAquarium. Peg sat on Flipper, to rest in the cool evening air. Our eight days on Cape Cod had exhausted us. Even if we cut our activities to almost nothing for the last day, we were all tired. I think we were all a little sad that it is almost over, as well.

We turned into the mainstay and packed our bags. I fell asleep about eleven. My alarm clock was set to 3.30. We left West Dennis around 4.15 clock and left the Cape in the pouring rain. Weleft Cape Cod, but our memories bring us back anytime.

There are so many interesting and beautiful places in the world to visit, why go to Canada?

Well, here in Ontario, we have the so-called Bruce Peninsula. It is a wonderful piece of land that effort, between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. In this small piece of land you will find some remarkable things to see and do.

Even before you reach the peninsula, there is Blue Mountain in Collingwood. A wonderful place to visit with lots to do for the children and see, and agreat place to get on with your children and see the world through the eyes. Also in Collingwood, you will find the Scenic Caves, rock climbing, zip lines and much more.

Sauble Beach is located just west of Collingwood, shortly after Owen Sound. Be sure to pay a visit at least one days from your trip.

From there it goes up towards the peninsula and meet the famous Wiarton Wiarton Willie, we know that we all look forward to seeing him on the news every 2nd February. We could pay andhim a visit now.

And finally, we reach Tobermory. Here you will find the ferry Chechemaun see what "Big Canoe". You can drive your car on the ferry and the whole family, car and all the beautiful Manitoulin Island.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Put egg, sugar, SplendaBlend, low-fat milk and olive oil in a small bowl. Beat with a fork and set aside.

In a bowl, whisk batter of flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt together. Set aside while the crumb topping.

Combine half white, half-type wheat flour, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Working in cold butter with a fork or pastry blender. Add walnuts crumb topping.

Add liquid ingredients to dry and stir just until blended. Will coat an 8 "square baking pan with baking paper and spray. Batter (itthin) into the pan and spread to corners. Scatter cranberries over batter. Sprinkle walnut crumb increase over cranberries. Bake 25-30 minutes. Serve hot from the oven. Makes nine servings.

Songwriter, musician, producer, I'll take you on a time to step back in time capsule. I'm going to some of the techniques used in the great songwriters of the past to song craft. These techniques are even today after more than 70 years in the use of brand-new songwriter.

I have recently launched a telephone seminar on the craft of songwriting, has specifically dealing with text. We examined articles from the great songwriters of the past, such as Cole Porter, Jerome Kern,Irving Berlin, George and Ira Gershwin, and compared them with day to present songwriter. Interestingly, many of the things that were done back in the day to take done now to craft songs.

For those of you who are too young to know who Cole Porter, he was a famous songwriter, the songs had taken onBroadway in the 30s, 40s and 50s, many of them have eternal classics.

He has to go a song called "Let's Do It," whose lyrics ...

Collected Saints - The Pilgrims and Thanksgiving

Plymouth Rock is a deserving American shrine, but the legends - and the so-called pilgrims who came to them - are not as interesting as the facts.

Contrary to popular belief, the coast of North America in Spanish, French, Dutch and other well-known English colonists before the arrival of a reformist religious sect, which we had Thanksgiving with.

George Weymouth explored Maine in 1605 and brought five Indians to London. Three of them were handed overSir Ferdinando Gorges, the Harbor Master at Plymouth, England.

Contact with these beautiful and dignified Native Americans Gorges so fascinated that he encourage the rest of his life, colonization among them.

Mainly by enthusiasm Gorges, two colonies were founded in 1607 to life - in Jamestown, Virginia, the other at Sagadahoc, Maine. Jamestown survived, but there Sagadahoc one years later, when their leader, George Popham, died.

Fishing expeditions continue to New England,however. When the prey was scarce, Indians were often kidnapped and sold as slaves in Spain. One of them was named a brave Pawtuxit Tsquantum. He was to play a crucial role in the Pilgrims survive.

It should be remembered that the people we call religious pilgrims today, it reported, were classified as "separatists" for their determination to be guided by the Church of England. They called themselves "Collected Saints" and their other companions, "Strangers".

The name "Pilgrim" did not come intouse until 1792 - after 172 years - when a local poet, as all members of Plymouth Colony known whether Saints or strangers.

Thus began a lasting friendship between the pilgrims and the Wampanoak. Squanto made frequent visits to the colony to the Pilgrims how to hunt, fish, plant corn with a herring for fertilizer to teach, to popcorn balls with maple syrup and play a dice game called Hubdub.

OfCase, had built houses, the pilgrims gathered in a "grand" crop of corn. In gratitude, they invited Squanto and Massoit to a Thanksgiving feast. The two invited guests turned out at 60 Wampanoak brave and stayed three days.

The house is a house that has three bedrooms with a glassed-in porch and an outdoor shower and for getting rid of sand and salt before entering the house. Each day we would venture forth to Cities such as Boston, Woods Hole, Provincetown, and then return to the backbone.

He loves (and tolerated), the car, and if heLeaves for the season, he parked it between the trees, so someone wants to steal it would have a hard time dragging them away. I think Al's car is safe. La Med soon became amy favorite places in Camps Bay. It is one of the ocean-side venues, and it has a laidback atmosphere, with excellent cocktails and the perfect place for a nightcap. It's a real beach, and after the day on the beach, I would meet some friends there, while she was still dressed in my bikini and not worry anymore that I was not properly dressed. The interior is casual and allowed me a few really nice to know people with whom I have grown some very good friends.

On daysI just wanted to relax completely, I did not even leave the comfort of my home. The penthouse had everything I need, and with such views, it was found completely satisfactory way to this rest, which could use anyone to. But I was still right there in the middle of one of the "happening" places that could offer only the best of the South African entertainment, I am even a shark cave diving, where I came face to face with the Great Whites. There's nothing better than where they show aPlace that offers both tranquility and adventure at a time, and that is exactly what Cape Town, Camps Bay and meant especially for me.

When colonial families settled on the east coast, they made their "women's work". Every day was the women of the house for cooking, cleaning and maintenance of the house responsible. In late autumn, as the animals were slaughtered, the women could begin candles for the following year. The average home would require approximately 200 to 400, candles to light up the house for a year. Tallow or animal fat, was collected throughout the year, but slaughter always brought moreGrease on the homepage. As a candle was grueling and smelly work was done, most in one day.

Tallow can be pretty bad after a few weeks. Imagine how much worse it must be after several months! In wealthier homes, the women would make candles from beeswax or bayberry wax, as the flavor was far from it than anything that would leave an animal sweeter.

Women would gather bushels of bayberries and cook for several hours. This heating process allowed the waxy substanceseep from the berries. As the wax has a natural buoyancy, the wax floated to the top of the boiler. When the wax cooled, it was skimmed off much the same way we skim chicken fat from cooled broth today. It takes about 15 pounds bayberries to make one pound of wax. Bayberry wax is inherently brittle and prone to blooms ", which is a white powdery residue that forms on the outside of the candle after several months. Candles were to be stored in a cool place to protect propertyits weak form.

This is a how-to guide for lovers of mystery and creative party planners how to write, and want to host your own personalized interactive mystery game.

If you are a memorable, personalized based on your party guestswill come on for months, then is the guide for you. In this article you will learn how to write, cast and host your own interactive mystery game, and you are the essential elements of learning which make a good detective story plot too.

FILL - the recipe for a perfect murder

To facilitate information you get started:

* The setting, characters and events come alive for your guests.

* Tell a story! Have not only a crime, a victim and a detective and give them a reason why they were brought togetherOther than the superficial solve a murder / crime.

* First step to find out: what is the history and how best to tell this story. * Step out: what is the crime, who committed the crime and how the criminals will be caught.

Here's how I my secret game design: They are all in groups of 20 or more aligned. To play the game, you must be 6-8 people are willing to accept the mystery as the main suspect to sacrifice one (s), detective and killer.You must know the Scriptures, that is, they will know criminals. The rest of your guests will take on the role of detective and it is their responsibility to solve the case. Basically, everyone is a vital, interactive part in the secret. Their assessment of the actors do not have a lot of dialogue, but they have a number of events or timeline that should move the mystery through the clues to be known to you, the murder (s) and the solution of the crime. You will have to bearFor some actions (like arguments) and suspicious activities set around themselves as suspects. I like it a lot of action in the secret pack people to become active and in contrast to the mystery-in-a-box involved, where everyone just sits around reading play their part and questions they receive from a brochure.

PLOT. You must come with an action, the cornerstone of the mystery. It is your scene, if you will. Why are the main suspects have gathered? What they doAll have in common that brings them together for this soon-to-be crime scene? The stakes have been high, for all the main suspects to give them a motive for the murder. Most people murder for love, money or revenge. Sometimes the reason is pure madness, but above all for love, money or revenge.

CHARACTERS. Your character, your main suspects. I would recommend at least 6, but not more than 8, because it is suspected to hold enough to have the secret wisha challenge, but you do not want too many to make it confusing. Of the main suspects, 1 or 2 are victims. These characters have quirky and interesting love 'em or hate' em type, and ALL MUST HAVE MOTIVE. You must have your guests a game in the life of the chief suspects. Give them a reason to hate, the villain (usually the 1st sacrifice), to give them a reason to ally with another suspect (maybe he has a pathetic mama's boy? Protect women love this kind of character. Or perhaps is thevulnerable, innocent, but breathtakingly beautiful woman?).

One of your characters should be your "detective" character. He or she really does not have to be a policeman, but he should be with the investigation (and yes, he can) still image. He will be the one who will hold strong and in control of the situation, preferably with questions of your guests. NOTE: If you wish, your first victims are back as detective character, so that they will come, a part of the show. Ifnot, they make great support "backstage". You can use the notes of preparation and the next victim, for example.

Motifs. Choose a victim (s) from the primary suspect list. Why are they being murdered? Give your characters motives. As I said before, all signs motif or otherwise solve the mystery is too easy or too vague for people to follow. I like to make a chart, where I have 2 list of victims at the top of the page and the main suspect on the side of the page. Then I fillin the motifs: unrequited love, jealousy, debts, feuds and rejection are just some examples of the motif. When you have completed this table, you can then continue until the filling into the action. Each character should have a motive for establishing scene with the victims. But more on that later.

THE ACTION. Write your sequence of events that happen with an action of some sort, all of 5 minutes or so. These measures should encourage designs that provide clues as to logicallyMurder (s) and coherently lead guests through the mystery. Be sure to add plenty of physical action (car chases and fights for example). You do not need dialogue, because in my opinion, it will take away from your audience participation, if your primary suspects to recite and memorize dialogue. It is a game and not an INTERACTIVE mystery. Simply set the scene and you can improvise the suspect to the negotiating table as the scene unfolds. They should make secrecy about 1 1 / 2 to 2 hoursBegin (attention of your guests to wander the fields after about 2 hours).

The order of the actions described, which I usually as my template:

0:00 to 0:15 General mingling and introductions. To kill all the main suspect begin to set up their motive for the first victim. Maybe you can create a welcoming speech to the scene of the crime: why it all here.

0:15 Action or physical key is found to motive to establish one of the main suspects. 1:20 Final Summation and motives, let your guests to the main suspect, ask questions (you do not want to show them that nothing gets found out in the pack - or the confession, however). CAST your Mystery

You need to have players who are role sociable, creative, outgoing and want to choose to trust you (that they will take on the role with enthusiasm and want to show them until the night of the "show".) They with full knowledge the script and the script should get ahead of time and be prepared to rehearse it at least once. I usually write a script based on where I'm going to throw. GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR THEIR Prime Suspects

Add these guidelines with your script:

GUEST INVOLVEMENT: Because it solve the problem of your guests on these criminals, they should include this as much as possible by moving to ask you questions that follow you, check references and do what they need to do to the case to solve. DETAILS OF THE PARTY

Invitations: When you design your invitations, people can know that they are asked to solve a murder.Set the scene a little. "Big Daddy Sugarbaker, billionaire extraordinary would like to invite to a party in his honor to visit. It may be his last party due to his poor health ..." Setting the "Stage": Of course, depending on the theme of your secret, no additional "atmosphere" you create more than props and staging will only add to the mystery. Barter is not a new concept. Has been around probably as long as the man walked the earth. In fact, long before the money men were traded goods or services for services for other services. This is held as trading.

Today, Barter is more popular than ever, especially for small enterprises, which are often strapped for cash. The Internet is characterized by hundreds, perhaps thousands, of bartering sites that were established for small, strugglingCompanies to survive and even by providing a way for them necessary goods or services they might not otherwise afford access to flourish.

The owner of a shoe store can be a pair of slippers to the dentist for a check-up and a teeth whitening business if both are members of the same deal and have access to each other. An interior designer can professional service for a pair of earrings and stylish, the barter transaction, without the exchange of money,helpful for both companies.

But barter is not exclusively for small businesses. It is also common today to the ordinary consumers - individuals. This is because the bad economic situation has left many people with scarce resources, without employment or other difficulties for it. Many ordinary people simply do not have the money for the goods or services that they want to buy or need. But they often have something that they can trade.

Barter websites are there for the consumer. AndEvery day more and more people with access to computers join these sites and the full use of the opportunities that exist on them. She and her husband Ted (not his real name, either) to live in a town in the Midwest and have always dreamed of vacation in Cape Cod. For Rachel, above all, it was a lifelong dream. And Rachel and Ted were finally realize this dream ... until they found out that decent accommodation in the region would be approximately $ 200 per night, something about their holiday budget costs. In most cases, that Shortness of the available money would be completely squelch any chance of a holiday into a reality.

Everyone is looking forward to their annual family vacation, but sometimes can get a deadlock, visiting only the old goals of each year. I've put together a list of a few places on holiday, you could go look for your next family trip.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee and North Carolina. Mysterious and haunting, these mountains are home to many species of animals such as deer, wild turkeys, Ruffed Grouse, quail, and black bear, a namefew. When to visit you? Well, there really is no wrong time of year to visit this park. However, in the high season in July and August you will find that the traffic can be a bit slow. Note that temperatures in winter can be extremely cold with moderately cold. There are many trails to explore and camp sites, and you can bike, fish, ski, or horseback riding. A truly beautiful place to visit.

Historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, site of the famous battle ofCivil war, and of course, where President Lincoln delivered a 2-minute speech, the famous Gettysburg Address. Summer months and weekends are peak times for this popular destination. If you visit in the off-peak times, crowds should thin out after Labor Day. Cape Cod, Massachusetts, a ruggedly beautiful coast with towns and farmsColonial period. Many visitors to the Cape rather enjoy one of the many fine bed-and-breakfast hotels. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean, Golden GateStrait, and San Francisco Bay, this city is really only about 46 square miles, but wow is full of attractions. If you will ask yourself when you visit, you can not go wrong weather-wise, as the climate is pretty nice year. What you see here? Oh so much! The cable car can not be overlooked, the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Nob Hill, Sausalito, Union Square, and surprisingly easy to mention many areas of the city. It is a great city to explore on foot, and ato do absolutely wonderful place to watch some people. Photo opportunities abound.

Orlando, Florida, home of Disney World of course. There is also Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World and many water parks to enjoy. There are also a lot more in addition to the Orlando theme parks, including numerous lakes, fountains, museums and historic sites. Depending on when you can visit, you will find an art and craft festival goes.
